JSC “ADMIRALTY SHIPYARDS” IS A PARTICIPANT OF THE INTERNATIONAL FORUM: “ARCTICS: THE PRESENT AND THE FUTURE”

JSC “Admiralty Shipyards” as part of the delegation of JSC “United Shipbuilding Corporation” takes part in XII International Forum "Arctics: the present and the future".

During the event dedicated to the development of Arctic region the Russian lead shipbuilding enterprise is demonstrating the model of scientific research ship ice-resistant self-propelled platform “North Pole” of project 00903.

JSC “Admiralty Shipyards” built the unique ice-resistant self-propelled platform “North Pole” by the order of the Federal Service for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring under the State Program for Socioeconomic Development of the Russian Arctic Zone. The ship was put into operation in August of 2022. The vessel has left Murmansk for the first scientific research expedition on September 15th. In the beginning of this October at the location coordinates 82°37’ N 155°31’E in the Arctic Ocean the expedition of “North Pole-41” hoisted the flag. This was the starting point for Russian drifting polar station “North Pole-41” established by the specialists of Arctic and Antarctic scientific-research institute. The specialists of JSC “Admiralty Shipyards” are on-board along with the crew and scientific personnel. Their task is the elimination of any possible technical malfunctions in the process of maintenance of the platform.

Lately the enterprise took active steps on diversification of the production, increasing the share of civil shipbuilding. As such, today, JSC “Admiralty Shipyards” is building the series of ten large fishing freezer trawlers of project ST-192 for Russian Fishery Company. The trawlers of this project are among the most advanced fishing vessels in the world. Having the capacities of fishing in distant regions, the new ships shall contribute to consolidation of Russian fishing fleet in the global ocean.
