JSC "ADMIRALTY SHIPYARDS" PARTICIPATED IN ALL-RUSSIAN "WEEK WITHOUT TURNSTILES"

From October 10 to October 14, JSC "Admiralty Shipyards" took part in the annual All-Russian career guidance event "Week without turnstiles". By tradition, the enterprise was visited by students from Saint-Petersburg schools and professional educational institutions.

During a week within the event, the city oldest shipbuilding enterprise – JSC "Admiralty Shipyards" – was visited by more than 220 of representatives of city youth. Among them there were students of the Saint- Petersburg College of Shipbuilding and Applied Technologies, Petrovsky College, Industrial and Shipbuilding Lyceum and School No. 274. In addition, students from the engineering classes of schools No. 375 and No. 377 joined the list of visitors this year.

The program of the visit included the historical museum of JSC "Admiralty Shipyards", where the youth became aware of the most important milestones in development of the Russian center for conventional shipbuilding. Besides, the students familiarized themselves with industrial processes inside the shipyard divisions and observed the vessels under construction.

"There is an opinion among the students that it is difficult to find a job at Admiralty Shipyards." says Marina Kulagina, head of HR development department. "Career guidance events, including the "Week without turnstiles", are aimed at informing the young people about their opportunities. They can learn an interesting specialty, come to us for practice, have a training course and subsequently work in the divisions of the enterprise."

The all-Russian event "Week without turnstiles" has been held by the Russian Engineering Union since 2015. It is mainly aimed at the formation of an early career guidance system for adolescents and youth. Throughout the entire period, JSC "Admiralty Shipyards" has been a participant in this event.

In 2022, the enterprise has been acted as an industrial partner of engineering classes in Saint-Petersburg secondary schools. During the academic year, the Shipyards held a number of career guidance events for future graduates to help schoolchildren make their choice of profession.
