THE EMPLOYEE OF JSC “ADMIRALTY SHIPYARDS” WERE AWARDED WITH MEDALS OF THE ORDER OF MERIT FOR THE MOTHERLAND

The employees of JSC “Admiralty Shipyards” were awarded with medals of the Order of merit for the Motherland as well as granted acknowledgement from the President of the Russian Federation. The awards were delivered in person by governor of Saint-Petersburg Alexander BEGLOV.

The awarding ceremony took place in Smolny. Three representatives of the city oldest shipbuilding facility were awarded by the city head for their labour achievements and longstanding conscientious labour for the benefit of Motherland. The Governor congratulated the awarded personnel, thanked them for their contribution to the city development, wished them success and prosperity as well as expressed confidence that mutual efforts shall ensure the overcoming of the current difficulties.

The employees of JSC “Admiralty Shipyards” are annually awarded with state decorations for their contribution in construction of ships and vessels and the names of worker of JSC “Admiralty Shipyards” are consistently specified in the Russian Federation President's decrees.

At present JSC “Admiralty Shipyards” has a rightful status of the centre of conventional submarine construction in Russia. For more than 3 centuries the shipyard slipways have launched almost 3000 ships and vessels of various class and purposes: first Russian steamships, battleships and cruisers, the first atomic icebreaker in the world, unique research vessels and deep-sea submersibles, various type tankers including ice-class vessels, more than 300 submarines of various projects having no match in the global shipbuilding The main activities of the shipyards are designing, construction and upgrade of military and civil ships of various types.
