ADMIRALTY SHIPYARDS JSC COMMENCED DOCK WORKS FOR LFFT "KAPITAN MARTYNOV"

JSC “Admiralty Shipyards” commenced the dock works for large fishing freezer trawler "Kapitan Martynov" — the fourth vessel in the series being built for LLC “Russian Fishery Company”.

At the dock of the Kanonersky ship repair plant, specialists from JSC “Admiralty Shipyards“ will carry out an inspection of the propeller and rudder complex and the thruster, and complete the final painting of the underwater part of the trawler's hull. These scheduled works will take three weeks. After that the vessel will be back at the Shipyards to continue the tests and get ready for the factory sea trials.

"The sanctioned equipment, including large one, was successfully replaced. We managed to promptly conclude agreements with alternative contractors, so the construction of the series continues" noted Andrey Veselov, General Director of JSC “Admiralty Shipyards”. "Today, the hull formation for two more trawlers — "Kapitan Yunak" and "Mekhanik Shcherbakov" — is underway".

"Mekhanik Sizov” — the third trawler in the series, was delivered to the Customer in August. At the beginning of September, the vessel arrived at Vladivostok, having crossed the Northern Sea Route, and became a participant in the Eastern Economic Forum. During the event, the vessel was visited by Dmitry Patrushev, Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, and Ilya Shestakov, Head of the Federal Agency for Fisheries. On the 21st of September, the trawler left for fishing trials in the area of the South Kuril Islands. During the entire test period, the Shipyard’s warranty team onboard the vessel will be engaged into monitoring of the vessel’s machinery/equipment and supervision of their operation.

At present, the first and second trawlers of the series — "Kapitan Vdovichenko" and "Mekhanik Maslak", — successfully continue fishing in the Sea of Okhotsk.
