ADMIRALTY SHIPYARDS JSC COMMENSCED SEA TRIALS OF THE PILOT FISHING FREEZER TRAWLER

Admiralty Shipyards JSC has started the factory sea trials of large freezer fishing trawler of ST-192 Project “Kapitan Vdovichenko” being built for Russian Fishery Company LLC.

During the trials, which will take place in the Gulf of Finland, near the Isle of Gogland, the specialists will test the main engine and auxiliary diesel-generators of the vessel. Also, running and speed tests will be carried out, vibration measurements will be made. The delivery team will check up the navigation complex and radio communication systems, fuel, oil and general ship’s systems. In addition, the trawler will be tested for bollard pull. The completion of the factory sea trials is scheduled for the end of December this year.

The contract for construction of the series for Russian Fishery Company LLC was signed in October of 2017 under the Government-sponsored investment ratio program.

The series is being implemented by a pair of ships annually. Large freezing trawler “Kapitan Vdovichenko” was set afloat in March of 2020. The second vessel in the series – “Mekhanik Maslak“ – was set afloat in June last year. Today the enterprise carries out assembling of the trawler's onboard systems, cladding of premises, preparing for harbor trials. Onboard of the third and fourth vessels, "Mekhanik Sizov" and "Kapitan Martynov", respectively, employees of the shipyard’s divisions carry out delivery of premises for construction, installation of ship’s systems and equipment, painting of internal tanks.

Hull formation of the fifth and sixth trawlers – "Kapitan Yunak" and "Mechanic Shcherbakov” – on the slipway is proceeding at an active pace.

Main technical and operating characteristics of Project ST-192 large fishing freezer trawlers: cargo holds capacity – 5500 m3; length — 108.20 m; breadth — 21.00 m; draught – 8.35 m, sea endurance by fuel load – 45 days; crew – 139 persons, including fish meal factory personnel; full sea speed – 15 knots.
