JSC “ADMIRALTY SHIPYARDS” IS AMONG WINNERS OF PROFESSIONAL SKILLS CHAMPIONSHIP

The employees of the Admiralty Shipyards took prizes in four competencies of the VIII Corporate Professional Skills Championship for USC Group Companies.

From 27 to 30 of September in Murmansk, more than 250 young representatives of the shipbuilding industry competed in such competencies as "Welding Technologies", "Assembly of Metal Ship Hulls", "Marine Electrical Installations", "Lean Manufacturing", "Recruiting", "CAD Engineering Design", "Life Cycle Management", "Manufacturing Engineer in Mechanical Machine Construction", and "Reverse Engineering and Additive Manufacturing". The tasks presented in the competition were formed on the basis of projects implemented by the United Shipbuilding Corporation, or were as close as possible to real production conditions. The team consisting of 25 Admiralty Shipyards employees demonstrated their skills in seven competencies and took prizes in four of them: "Welding Technologies", "Assembly of Metal Ship Hulls", "Lean Manufacturing", and "Life Cycle Management".

Our team includes many talented, versatile, inquisitive and purposeful young people, and we all really rooted for those of them who went to Murmansk to defend the honour of the Shipyards. I know that the participants were very nervous, but this did not stop them from being among the strongest. I am sure that everyone has many victories ahead, which means that the enterprise and the entire industry have a bright and interesting future!"

Young specialists from the Admiralty Shipyards annually take part in various competitions and projects, such as: "Engineer of the Future"; "Young Shipbuilder-Engineer"; "Innovation of the Young", as well as in the Championship of professional skills among the companies of JSC “USC”.
