Quoting the Head of the city, he emphasized that Saint-Petersburg has always been the centre of Russian shipbuilding, and Admiralty Shipyards JSC is one of the flagships of the shipbuilding industry.

As part of the exposition at Neva-2023, Admiralty Shipyards are demonstrating the models of large fishing freezer trawlers of ST-192 project and the scientific research vessel – ice-resistant self-propelled platform "North Pole".

"In recent years, we have been paying great attention to the diversification of our production. The plant is actively increasing the share of civil shipbuilding" noted Andrey Veselov, General Director of JSC “Admiralty Shipyards”. "Currently, the Shipyards continue construction of the trawlers series. We are also closely monitoring the operation of the ice-resistant platform, which was handed over to Roshydromet in August last year. In December, we will commence the metal cutting for the new unique scientific and research vessel "Ivan Frolov". The contract for its construction was signed in May".

JSC “Admiralty Shipyards” is engaged into construction of the series of large fishing freezer trawlers (LFFT) of ST-192 project for LLC “Russian Fishery Company”. The first and second trawlers of the series — "Kapitan Vdovichenko" and "Mekhanik Maslak" — are fishing in the Far East basin. The third trawler "Mekhanik Sizov" was handed over to the Customer in mid-August. In early September, this LFFT arrived at Vladivostok and will soon be engaged into fishing trials. The enterprise continues the construction of the fourth trawler "Kapitan Martynov” at the outfitting quay. Hull formation of the fifth and sixth trawlers – "Kapitan Yunak" and "Mekhanik Shcherbakov" – on the southern and northern slipway is proceeding, along with population of equipment.

SRV IRSPP was built by the Shipyards as per the order of the Federal Service for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring as part of the state program for social and economic development of the Arctic zone. In September 2022, the ice-resistant self-propelled platform set out on its first research expedition, which is still successfully underway.
