JSC “ADMIRALTY SHIPYARDS” TOOK PART IN ACTIVITIES OF "WEEK WITHOUT TURNSTILES” EVENT

JSC “Admiralty Shipyards” took part in the annual All-Russian career guidance event "Week Without Turnstiles".

During the working week, the enterprise was visited by more than 250 young Saint-Petersburg residents. Among them there were students of the Saint-Petersburg State Marine Technical University, secondary schools No. 240 and 388, gymnasium No. 271, lyceum No. 384, engineering classes of schools No. 375 and 377, with which the enterprise cooperates within the framework of federal project "Professionality".

The visit program included slipway and woodworking shops, mechanical engineering production and the outfitting quay of the Shipyards. For each group of visitors, the museum staff conducted an excursion, during which the children got acquainted with the history of creation and development of the largest shipbuilding enterprise in Saint-Petersburg and learned about the unique vessels that came off the stocks of the Admiralty Shipyards.

"Interest in the campaign is growing, which indicates the popularization of blue-collar professions" notes Marina Kulagina, Head of the Admiralty Shipyards Human Resources Department. "Compared to the spring stage, the number of children who visited our enterprise increased by more than 50 people, and the list of educational institutions expanded. Each group of students that comes to us in the framework of the "Week Without Turnstiles" is provided with an individual program developed by Shipyard’s specialists in order to maximize the interest of our guests and show that working at the largest shipbuilding plant in the country is interesting and prestigious".

JSC “Admiralty Shipyards” is a permanent participant in the All-Russian career guidance event "Week Without Turnstiles" held by the Russian Engineering Union since 2015. The enterprise pays great attention to career guidance for young people. Since 2022, the enterprise has been an industrial partner of engineering classes at schools in Saint-Petersburg, young Shipyard’s employees annually take part in different contests and projects, like: "Engineer of the Future"; "Young Shipbuilder-Engineer"; "Innovation of the Young", as well as in the Championship of professional skills among the companies of JSC “USC”.
