JSC “ADMIRALTY SHIPYARDS” TOOK PART IN THE CITY-WIDE VOLUNTARY COMMUNITY WORK AT PISKAREVSKOYE MEMORIAL CEMETERY

The employees of JSC “Admiralty Shipyards” and members of their families again took part in the city-wide clean-up day at the Piskarevskoye Memorial Cemetery.

For ten years, the employees of Admiralty Shipyards have been constant participants in the city-wide patriotic action aimed to clean the memorial complex. In the spring, they help prepare the memorial for the celebration of the Victory Day, and in the fall, they help clear the area of foliage.

"This clean-up day is an important component of the patriotic education of the younger generation, the opportunity to convey to them the historical memory of the exploits of our predecessors" notes Yana Shuigina, Chairman of the Youth Board of JSC “Admiralty Shipyards”. "This time many employees of Admiralty Shipyards participated the event for the first time and took their children with them. I am sure that the number of participants will grow every next year!"

In addition to cleaning the territory of the Piskarevskoye Memorial Cemetery, the employees of JSC “Admiralty Shipyards” annually, on the eve of May 9, lay flowers at the foot of the Motherland Monument and at the Memorial Plate dedicated to the Admiralty Shipyards employees who died defending besieged Leningrad and on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War erected in the year of the 310th anniversary of the oldest shipbuilding enterprise in the city and in the country.
