LARGE FISHING FREEZER TRAWLER "KAPITAN MARTYNOV" RETURNED TO ADMIRALTY SHIPYARDS AFTER DRY DOCK WORKS

20.10.2023

JSC “Admiralty Shipyards” completed a set of planned dock works on the large fishing freezer trawler "Kapitan Martynov". After three weeks, the fourth vessel in the series being built for LLC “Russian Fishery Company” returned to the quay wall of the enterprise.

Every day 500 specialists from JSC “Admiralty Shipyards” worked at the dock of the Kanonersky ship repair plant. Over the course of three weeks, the Shipyards personnel have been carried out a set of planned work, which is an important stage in the hull construction prior to the sea trials. The Shipyards employees examined the bottom, performed an inspection of the propeller and rudder complex and the ship's thruster, and completed the final painting of the underwater part of the trawler's hull. In addition, a number of activities related to the harbour test program were carried out.

After successful completion of the dock works, the trawler was moored to the outfitting embankment of the Admiralty Shipyards with the help of tugs. There, the preparation of the vessel for the next stage of construction — launching for sea trials — will be completed. The preparation will include the adjustment and subsequent testing of the ship’s systems and mechanisms, further arrangement of cabins and accommodation areas.

By now, JSC “Admiralty Shipyards” has already delivered to LLC “Russian Fishery Company” three large fishing freezer trawlers of project ST-192. The first and second trawlers of the series — "Kapitan Vdovichenko" and "Mekhanik Maslak", — successfully continue fishing in the Sea of Okhotsk. The third trawler “Mekhanik Sizov” left for fishing trials in the area of the South Kuril Islands in September. The Shipyard’s warranty teams are onboard the second and third vessels engaged into monitoring of the machinery/equipment and supervision of their operation.
