Electroplating workshop

The electroplating workshop performs chemical, electrochemical and protective and protective-decorative coating for parts of a wide range as well as it performs shot blasting and chemical cleaning of special purpose and general purpose pipes. The mechanized production lines incorporate: two row aluminium machining line, line of pipe chemical cleaning and electrochemical polishing. The electroplating workshop hosts installed auto operator lines: zinc plating of large size products, nickel plating, protective and decorative chrome plating, bluing and phosphatizing, drum and suspension line for phosphatizing of small-sized parts, and, besides, there are big and small shot blasting chambers, coating section, powder polymer coating section and auxiliary sections in the workshop too. Owing to the available equipment, the galvanizing room is capable to carry out a wide range of works for the needs of the enterprise as well as to carry out orders of outside organizations. The capabilities of the galvanizing room have enabled to introduce advanced technologic processes: application of bright protective decorative coating – zinc plating, copper plating, nickel plating, chrome plating. The workshop takes an active part in building of all the hulls both for the surface and subsurface shipbuilding. Types of Parts Processing:

  • shot blasting of large-sized products with steel split pellets (weight of the parts is up to 1 t and dimensions are up to 1500 х 1700 х 6000 mm);
  • blasting of small-sized parts with emery abrasive grits (in general, they are securing articles);
  • vibrating polishing and mechanic polishing;
  • chemical cleaning of parts made of aluminium alloys (container dimensions are 3400 х 700 х 2000 mm), of titanium alloys (container dimensions are 6000 х 900 х 1000 mm), of carbon and alloy steels (container dimensions are 6000 х 900 х 1000 mm), some types of plastics and rubber;
  • application of oxide coating (container dimensions are 3400 х 700 х 2000 mm); anode oxide coating (suspension dimensions are 3300 х 640 х 2200 mm) on aluminium alloys, including enamel plating, hard anodic coating (suspension dimensions are 1150 х 260 х 800 mm);
  • oxidation (“bluing”) of carbon steels (container dimensions are 1400 х 300 х 850mm);
  • phosphatizing of carbon steels and zinc coating of large-sized articles (dimensions are 5700 х 250 х 1600 mm), zinc coating of small size parts (container dimensions are 1140 х 340 х 340 mm);
  • zinc plating or galvanizing of suspended large-sized articles (suspension dimensions are 5700 х 250 х 1600 mm) and of small-sized parts in drums, including the bright plating with bluing surface passivation (drum dimensions are 1140 х 340 mm);
  • electrical chemical polishing of stainless steels (suspension dimensions are 2100 х 700 х 800mm);
  • bright and brushed copper plating (suspension dimensions are 2000 х 250 х 1100 mm);
  • bright and brushed nickel plating (suspension dimensions are 2000 х 250 х 1100 mm);
  • multilayer protective decorative nickel – copper – nickel – chrome coating (suspension dimensions are 2000 х 250 х 1100 mm);
  • hard chrome plating (suspension dimensions are 2000 х 250 х 1200 mm);
  • tin plating (suspension dimensions are 2000 х 250 х1100 mm);
  • coating with tin – lead alloys (suspension dimensions are 900 х 250 х 800 mm);
  • removal of defect and old coatings (suspension dimensions are 900 х 250 х 800mm).

The furnaces perform the primary heat treatment of materials and parts: normalization, annealing, tempering, austenization of the material of parts, forged pieces and pressed parts with weight of up to 1000 kg. The pressing line consists of 5 presses and a 0.125t hammer. The presses perform hot forming of parts, weighing 0.03 -2.5 kg, in-cold machine flashing (cutting-out) of the formed parts, hot and cold bending of bar and sheet workpieces, hot cutting-out of sheet and plate workpieces. Materials for bar forming and bending are carbon steels, low and high alloyed steels, non-ferrous metals and alloys АМГ5, АМГ-61, 3М, 3В, 19, ВТ1 (only hot bending is carried out). Form of the treated material is 8-36 mm  bars, plates, sheets. Heat Treatment Line

  • heat treatment of forged pieces of steels type of АК, АБ;
  • heat treatment of forged pieces of non-ferrous alloys;
  • heat treatment of forged pieces of titanium alloys;
  • heat treatment of lengthy shafts;
  • heat treatment of aluminium alloys;
  • heat treatment of large-sized welded structures;
  • surface impregnation or chemical thermal treatment;
  • nitriding;
  • low-temperature, high-temperature, protective oxidation and oxidation in graphite.

Spring Production Line The spring production line fabricates coiled and special springs. Maximum diameter of the spring rod is 20 mm. Coiled and helical springs are wound of 0.4–8 mm dia. wire on automated machines. Springs coiled out of 2 mm-8 mm thick wire are wound on general-purpose equipment. Special purpose springs are produced by means of machine tool attachment. There are several furnaces for heat treatment of the springs. For ordering, please contact Victor A.
