SALVAGE VESSEL “IGOR BELOUSOV”

Ocean-going salvage vessel “IGOR BELOUSOV” constructed for the Russian Navy was laid down on December 24, 2005. The vessel was designed to rescue the crews from submerged, disabled submarines (lying on the sea floor or on the surface) as well as for supplying air, energy and life-saving equipment to submarines and surface ships. In addition, the ship can search and examine any facilities in the state of emergency in a given area, independently or as a part of the international rescue units. Length on design waterline (m) – 97,8 Breadth on design waterline (m) – 17,2 Depth Amidships (m) – 10,6 Displacement (t) – 5037 Seaworthiness

  • safety at sea – unlimited;
  • lowering/ lifting of a deep-diving rescue vehicle – 3 – 4 points;
  • lowering/ lifting of a diving bell – 5 points;
  • full speed (knots) – 15.

Endurance according to provision stock and fresh water capacity:

  • for the complement (days) – 30;
  • for rescued persons (days) – 10.

Cruising range at economic speed with full stock of fuel (miles) – 3500; Complement (persons) – 96. Accommodations for rescued persons – 120 (60 in pressure chambers). Navigation means:

  • automated navigation system;
  • navigation sonar system;
  • facilities of hydrometeorological support;
  • navigation radars.

Sonar means:

  • searching sonar system;
  • sonar system of underwater communication;
  • navigation sonar system;
  • facilities for hydrology sounding.

Propulsion machinery: Power modules

  • Four diesel-generators DG BA-1680 – 4х1680 kW;
  • Two diesel-generators DG BA-1080 – 1080 kW.

Propulsion system

  • two propulsion motors – 2 x 2400 kW;
  • two azimuth thrusters Aquamaster US 305FP;
  • two bow thrusters – 2 x 680 kW;
  • auxiliary power plant;
  • two automatic boiler units KGB 1,0/5-M.
